Pan fried Onion Dip

2 large onions
½ teaspoon of chili pepper (you can use cayenne too)
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
4oz crème cheese
½ cup sour crème
½ cup of mayo
2 table spoon butter

Chop the onion in long thin strips.  Heat the butter in a pan. Add the onions, salts, pepper, and chili pepper. Let that cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat and about 15 minutes on low heat. Mix once in a while. Your onions should have a rich caramelized color by the end. Set aside and cool.

In a mixer add the room temperature crème cheese, mayo, and sour crème. Mix until smooth. Add the onions to the mix. You are not grinding or chopping the onions. You are only mixing it. You can also do this process by hand. It might just take a little longer. Once it’s mixed in, serve!
