Hakka Noodles

For Noodles:
3 cups of Hakka noodles – cook according to directions on packet
1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
 
For the vegetable:
1 cups sliced onions
2 tsp. grated ginger
2 tsp. chopped garlic
2 tbsp. chopped celery
½ cup of carrots
½ cup of baby corn
2 cups of sliced mushrooms       
½ cup of bean sprouts
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. sesame oil
 
Sauce:
½ cup of hoisin sauce
2 tbsp. corn flour
1 cup water
1.        Mix Hakka noodles and hoisin sauce and set aside
2.       Make the sauce in a separate sauce pan.  Mix the corn flour into water. Once properly integrated, mix in the hoisin sauce. Let it come to a boil
3.       Sauté the vegetables in the sesame oil. Cook until semi tender.
4.      Mix the noodles and sauce and vegetables together.
5.       Cook that mixture until light golden brown.
6.      Serve hot
TIP: if you do not have hoisin sauce – you can mix soy sauce, ketchup, and chili sauce in equal part.
