Makes 12 servings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (they come crumbed in a box or you can get Honey Maid and crush them finely)
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup flaked coconut
1 1/3 cups sweetened condensed milk (low fat is ok too)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix the margarine with the graham cracker crumbs (melt margarine first if needed).
3. In a 9 x 13 pan pour the crumb mixture and pat down tightly with hands or spatula to create a crumb layer.
4. Next, pour the condensed milk to create a layer on top of the crumb layer.
5. Mix the chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and walnuts in a separate bowl. Then layer evenly on top of the condensed milk. Pat down with a fork.
Alternatively, you can layer the walnuts and chocolate chips, coconut flakes first, and then pour the condensed milk evenly over the top. You can also use butterscotch chips for added flavor.
6. Bake 25-30 minutes or until slighly brown on top. Cool at least 30 minutes before cutting the bars into squares or diamonds. I let it cool overnight.
