Pesto Pizza

Ingredients for pesto sauce:

1 cup fresh basil leaves
½ cup parmesan cheese
¼ cup walnuts
8 cloves of garlic
3 tbls extra virgin olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste

Ingredients for pizza:
Fresh roma tomatoes
Fresh mozzarella cheese
Homemade or store bought pizza dough

Recipe for pesto sauce:
On a non-stick pan, toast walnuts and garlic cloves on a medium heat for 5-8 minutes, stirring continuously. Set aside to cool. In a blender, combine all the ingredients and start the blender until a very smooth sauce.
Recipe for pizza:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Press the pizza dough into a sheet pan. Smear the pesto over the pizza dough. Next, lay thin slices of Roma tomatoes over the pesto. Slice the mozzarella thin enough to cover the pizza thoroughly.
Bake the pizza for about 15-20 minutes.
